Woodlouse (cochineal)

Dactylopius coccus Costa

Our cochineal comes from Arequipa, southern Peru, specifically from La Joya, Santa Rita, Majes, San Camilo, La Cano, San Isidro, and Caravelí.

This insect produces a natural, non-toxic dye—rich in carmine and carminic acid—widely used in cosmetics, as well as in the pharmaceutical, food, and textile industries.

Dried Paprika

Capsicum spp.

Our Paprika comes from the Ica and Arequipa departments, specifically from Vitor, Majes, and Ica.

Rich in vitamin C, pro-vitamin A, minerals, and oleoresins, paprika is used as a seasoning, food coloring, and input in the dairy, feed, canning, baking, and cosmetic industries.

Fresh garlic

Allium sativum L.

Our garlic comes from Arequipa, southern Peru, specifically from Punta de Bombón, Cocachacra, Dean Valdivia, and Mejía.

Garlic is highly nutritious, supports heart health, lowers bad cholesterol, and has antiseptic and antibacterial properties. It’s commonly used as a seasoning, and crushing it raw helps release allicin, its key beneficial compound.

Onion

Allium cepa L

Our onion comes from the Ica and Arequipa regions.

Rich in vitamin B6, fiber, and flavonoids, onions support heart health. They’re low in calories and high in antioxidants like vitamins A, C, and quercetin—a compound stronger than vitamin E.

Andean Purple Corn

Zea mays L. var. subnigroviolaceo

Purple corn is native to Peru and known for its deep-purple seeds and cob, rich in anthocyanins (1.5–6%), especially C3G.

Its high anthocyanin and phenolic content makes it a powerful antioxidant and anticarcinogenic. It provides starch, sugars, proteins, minerals, and B-complex and C vitamins. It’s widely used in the food and cosmetic industries.

Avocado

Avocado

Persea americana Mill.

Our avocado is rich in healthy fats, vitamins, and fiber, and is widely used in food, cosmetics, and health.

It’s mainly grown in Peru’s coastal valleys (Arequipa, Ica, La Libertad, Moquegua) and inter-Andean regions (Ancash, Apurímac, Huancavelica, Junín, Cusco).

Olives

Olives

Olea europaea L.

Our olives come from Arequipa and Tacna.

Known for their premium quality, Peruvian olives are key in gastronomy, cosmetics, and agro-industry. Their oil offers health benefits, and the olive tree symbolizes tradition, flavor, and well-being.
